Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: October 22, 2026.
About This Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out what may and may not be done with Traffman, a content traffic exchange network – this website, your dashboard, our REST API and the official WordPress plugin, together the "Service".
The Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to everyone who uses the Service: to every account, every connected website and every request made with your API credentials, including those made by anyone acting for you.
What the Service Is For
Traffman exists so that websites which publish their own content can recommend each other's articles to real readers. Each participating site shows a block with headlines from other members, and the articles it chooses are offered across the network in return.
Traffman is not a marketplace for traffic. Visits, impressions, clicks and points are never sold – not by us, and not by members through the Service. Every visit the network produces comes from a reader who saw a headline on a real website and chose to open it.
Content and Websites
Content offered to the network, and the site it lives on, must not:
- break the law that applies to you, to us, or to the members who will display it;
- infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- contain pornography or sexually explicit material;
- promote violence, hatred or discrimination, or harass anyone;
- distribute malware, unwanted downloads, cryptominers or any other harmful code;
- attempt phishing or fraud, or advertise schemes that promise unrealistic earnings;
- offer medical, legal or financial claims that are false or dangerous;
- consist of scraped, auto-generated or duplicated filler published to game the exchange;
- sit behind a paywall, a login form or an interstitial that keeps visitors from the content they were promised;
- mislead visitors about where a link leads, including redirect chains and pages that show us something different from what a visitor sees.
We may also refuse content that is technically valid but does not fit the network – for example a page that is mostly a form, a listing or an advertisement rather than an article.
You may not connect a site that you do not control, and you may not use the Service to build networks of sites whose only purpose is to exchange traffic with each other.
Fair Use of the Exchange
The exchange only works while the numbers behind it are real. You must not, directly or through anyone else:
- generate impressions or clicks artificially – with bots, scripts, click farms, paid or incentivised clicks, or your own repeated clicking;
- load blocks in hidden frames, off-screen containers, pop-unders or auto-refreshing pages;
- interfere with how events are recorded, or send the Service events that did not happen;
- work around limits, rate limits or a suspension, for instance by registering another account or client;
- probe, scan or overload our infrastructure, or use the API in ways the documentation does not describe.
Other Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service to:
- sell, resell or broker traffic, impressions, clicks, points, clients or access to the network, or advertise Traffman to others as a way to buy visitors;
- sell, rent out, share or transfer an account, or use someone else's account or API credentials without their permission;
- impersonate another person, website or organisation, or give false registration details;
- send spam or other unsolicited messages, including through our contact form;
- pay with a card or an account you are not authorised to use, or dispute a legitimate charge in order to keep a paid plan without paying for it;
- collect data about other members or their visitors beyond what the Service shows you for your own clients.
Reporting a Violation
If you see content in the network, or a member's behaviour, that breaks this Policy, tell us through the contact form. Please include the address of the page and, if it reached your own site, the client it was shown on. We look into every report.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious a breach is, we may remove content from the exchange, void the points involved, suspend a client, or close an account. Where the circumstances allow, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem; a serious or repeated breach may lead to immediate closure.
If an account with a paid plan is closed for breaking this Policy, its subscription is cancelled as described in the Subscription Terms. Where a breach is also against the law, we may pass the relevant information to the authorities.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service develops. The current version always lives at this address, with the date of the last change at the top. Where a change matters to you, we will announce it on the site before it takes effect.
