How It Works
Getting started takes under ten minutes. Follow the steps below to connect your WordPress site, configure targeting, and start exchanging traffic with other publishers in the network.
- Create a Client Sign in to your Traffman account and create a new Client for the site you want to connect. Each Client is issued a unique API Key and API Secret – keep them handy, you'll need them in the next step.
- Install the WordPress plugin Download the official Traffman plugin directly from our site or search for it in the WordPress plugin marketplace. Install and activate it on your site. The plugin fully supports both standard WordPress installations and WordPress Multisite networks.
- Enter your API credentials Open the plugin settings page and paste in the API Key and API Secret from your Client. Save the settings – Traffman will immediately begin validating your domain. This usually completes within 2–3 minutes.
- Configure targeting rules While validation is running, head over to the targeting section in the plugin and define the rules for the content that will be shown on your site – language, topics, and more. You can adjust these rules at any time, even after the site goes live.
- Place the Traffman Content Block Add the Traffman Content Block to your theme in any position where you'd like targeted content to appear. You can use the WordPress block editor, the theme's visual builder, or the classic Widgets and Shortcodes interface. You can place up to 4 blocks per page.
- Go live In the plugin settings, open the Targeted content tab and choose which articles you want to push into the network. Only the posts you select will be shared – nothing goes out without your explicit action. From that moment, it starts appearing on other publishers' sites, and targeted content from the network begins showing up in your blocks.
