Subscription Terms
Last Updated: October 21, 2026.
Introduction
These Subscription Terms describe how the paid plans of Traffman, a content traffic exchange network, are bought, renewed, changed, cancelled and refunded. They add to our Terms and Conditions, which keep applying in full; where the two differ on a matter of payment, these Subscription Terms prevail.
You accept them by ticking the box on the checkout page before you pay. Nothing here applies to the free plan or to the trial month – they cost nothing and are never charged.
Plans
Every account is always on exactly one plan:
- Free – costs nothing, has no expiry date and will never become paid.
- Trial – the first month of every new account, with a larger monthly points grant. It needs no card and moves to the free plan on its own.
- Paid plans – Basic, Standard, Pro and Premium. They differ in two things only: how many clients can be active at the same time, and how many points each active client receives every month.
The current figures and prices of every plan are on the Pricing page. A paid plan does not change how the exchange works, does not buy placements on any particular site, and does not promise any amount of traffic – it gives your account more room in the same exchange.
Payments Through Paddle
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. When you pay, you buy the plan from Paddle, which then provides it to you on our behalf: Paddle charges your card or other payment method, issues the invoice, collects and pays the sales tax, and handles questions about the payment itself. The Paddle Buyer Terms apply to that part of the purchase.
We never see or store your card details – they go to Paddle directly. We receive from Paddle only what we need to activate the plan: the plan and period you paid for, the amount and the status of the payment, and the email address you gave in the checkout. To show your plan on your profile page, we also receive from Paddle the balance of your Paddle account and whether a renewal charge has failed.
Prices on our site are shown without tax. Tax is added on top in the checkout, according to the country you enter there, and the total you see in the checkout before you confirm is the amount you are charged. Amounts on the checkout page for a plan change already include tax. Prices are set and charged in US dollars; if your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount.
Auto-Renewal
Every paid plan is a subscription, charged every month or every year – you choose the period on the checkout page. Paddle charges the same plan again at the end of each period, until you cancel. The renewal is charged on the same day of the month (or of the year) as the first payment, at the price that applies on that day. The checkout page names the period and the price before you pay, and the confirmation email from Paddle repeats them.
To change the card that renewals are charged to, use Update card in the ⋯ menu next to your plan on your profile page. The card details are entered in Paddle's form and go to Paddle directly.
An account can have only one renewing subscription at a time. While one is active, another plan is not bought on top of it – the subscription itself is moved to that plan, see "Changing Your Plan" below.
Points and Active Clients
A paid plan starts as soon as Paddle confirms the payment. At that moment:
- the limit of active clients rises to the plan's figure, and clients that were deactivated earlier only because of the subscription limit are activated again, as far as the new limit allows;
- every confirmed and active client receives the plan's monthly points grant at once.
After that, the grant arrives every month on the same day for as long as the plan lasts. A yearly plan grants points monthly as well, not twelve grants at once.
Points remain what our Terms and Conditions say they are: internal accounting units with no monetary value. You pay for the plan, not for points – they cannot be bought separately, refunded or exchanged for money, and the points already granted stay on the clients' balances when the plan ends.
If you buy a paid plan while a plan that does not renew is in force – the trial month, a subscription whose auto-renewal you have cancelled, or a plan we assigned by hand – the new plan replaces it at once. The rest of the old plan is not carried over, and the checkout page warns you of this before you pay.
Changing Your Plan
A renewing subscription can be moved to another paid plan, or to the other period of the same plan, without waiting for its end. Choose the plan on the Pricing page: the checkout page then shows, before you confirm, the amount charged or credited now and the next charge on the new plan. The new plan takes effect as soon as you confirm:
- Upgrading – to a more expensive plan or from a monthly to a yearly period – charges the prorated difference at once: the unused part of the old plan is deducted from the price of the new one. The difference is paid from your Paddle balance first, if there is anything on it, and only the rest from your payment method. If that payment fails, the subscription stays as it was.
- Downgrading – to a cheaper paid plan or from a yearly to a monthly period – charges nothing now. The unused part of the current plan is credited to your Paddle balance and used for the next charges, starting with the nearest renewal; it is not returned to your card. Your profile page shows the balance, and the checkout page says when it will cover the next charge in full.
The monthly points cycle stays as it is. After an upgrade, active clients receive at once the extra points for the days left until the next grant; after a downgrade, nothing is granted now and the next grant comes at the new plan's rate.
Cancelling Auto-Renewal
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time before the next renewal date: with Cancel auto-renewal in the ⋯ menu next to your plan on your profile page, through the link in the payment email from Paddle, or by writing to us through the contact form.
Cancelling stops the next charge. The plan stays in force until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account moves to the free plan. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period – see "Refunds" below.
Until the paid period ends, the cancellation can be taken back with the Resume subscription button on your profile page or on the Pricing page. Resuming charges nothing: the subscription renews again on the same date as before you cancelled. Buying another plan instead ends the paid one at once, and the unused rest of its period is not returned – to keep it, resume the subscription first and then change the plan.
When a Plan Ends
When a paid plan ends – because auto-renewal was cancelled and the paid period is over, a renewal could not be charged or a payment was refunded – the account moves to the free plan:
- clients above the free plan's limit of active clients are deactivated with the status Deactivated: subscription limit. Your clients, their settings and their content are kept, and they are activated again on their own as soon as a plan with room for them is in force;
- the monthly grant becomes the free plan's grant;
- the points already on the clients' balances stay there.
Refunds
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of the first payment for a plan – the first charge of a subscription. Write to us through the contact form, or contact Paddle through paddle.net, and give the email address you paid with. You do not need to give a reason.
Renewal charges are not refunded, so please cancel auto-renewal before the renewal date if you no longer need the plan. We will still refund a renewal that was charged by mistake, twice, or after you had cancelled.
Refunds are issued by Paddle to the payment method you used, and the time they take to arrive depends on your bank. When a payment is refunded, the plan it paid for ends on the same day, and the account moves to the free plan.
If you live in a country whose law gives you broader rights – such as a right to withdraw from a contract for digital services – these Subscription Terms do not limit them.
Failed Payments
If a renewal cannot be charged – for example because the card has expired – Paddle tries again over the following days and emails you a link to update the payment details. Your profile page shows a warning meanwhile, with an Update card button: a new card added there pays the outstanding charge at once. If the payment still fails, the subscription is cancelled and the account moves to the free plan.
Price Changes
We may change the prices of the paid plans. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for. For a renewing subscription, we will tell you about a new price by email at least 30 days before the first renewal it applies to, so that you can cancel auto-renewal before then if you do not accept it.
Closing Your Account
If you ask us to delete your account while a renewing subscription is active, we cancel its auto-renewal first. The rest of the paid period is not refunded, unless you ask within the 14 days described in "Refunds".
If we close an account because our Terms and Conditions were broken, its subscription is cancelled and the remaining period is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms as the Service develops. The current version always lives at this address, with the date of the last change at the top. A change that affects you as a subscriber – the way renewals, plan changes or refunds work – is announced by email before it takes effect, and never applies to a period you have already paid for.
